1. Please report any changes in your health to your surgical care team prior to your surgery date
2. If you suspect that you are pregnant, please notify your surgeon prior to your surgery date.
3. If you are a smoker, please do not smoke after midnight the day of your surgery.
4. Do not eat or drink anything (including water, gum, mints) after midnight the day of surgery.
5. Bathe or shower and brush your teeth (taking care not to swallow any water) the morning of surgery.
6. Remove all jewelry, makeup, nail polish and contacts. If you need your contacts to review paperwork, please bring your storage case for use during surgery. Leave all jewelry, cash and valuables at home.
7. You must be accompanied by a responsible adult (minimum age of 18), this person will receive discharge instructions, drive you home and stay with you for the first night following surgery.
8. In conjunction with COVID 19 safety guidelines, we limit the number of people who accompany you to our center. Our standard is that adult patients be accompanied by one person and pediatric patients may be accompanied by both parents.
9. Bring all demographic requirements such as insurance cards and another form of ID such as a Driver's License. It is important for us to have all the current and correct information.
